Integration with Microsoft Teams
Door Tablet integrates Microsoft Teams to the reservation process.  The integration is currently restricted to Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Graph technology. Please note that if you are using Microsoft 365 and still use EWS, consider moving to Microsoft Graph right away. To enable Teams on other Microsoft platforms such as Exchange, please contact support@door-tablet.com Door Tablet expects you enable Teams for plan-head meetings. The Microsoft 365 client makes it easy to add an on-line meeting.  However, for ad-hoc meetings, Door Tablet will do this for you.

When you create a reservation in Door Tablet, an on-line Teams meeting will always be created, and the Teams icon will show to indicate that the function is enabled. If you provide your email address Door Tablet will email you both your Check-in code, and the joining link, so that you may forward these details to other participants who are not present. See here for further info

Integration with Google Meet
Door Tablet integrates Google Meet to the reservation process.  Door Tablet expects  you will enable Meet for plan-head meetings. The Google client makes it easy to add an on-line meeting.  However, for ad-hoc meetings, Door Tablet will do this for you.

When you create a reservation in Door Tablet, an on-line Meet meeting will always be created, and the Meet icon will show to indicate that the function is enabled. If you provide your email address Door Tablet will email you both your Check-in code, and the joining link, so that you may forward these details to other participants who are not present. See here for further info
New Flexibility in Customization for Single Room Display
In Door Tablet, a new feature has been enabled that allows you to design the "Single Room Display" in any way you like. The objects and interactive features of the display are all sitting on a flat canvas and you decide where each object is shown and how it looks.

To use the feature, in the space records you will need to indicate that you wish to use this feature, and then add your CSS in the normal way. See here for further info

Hygiene Reminders
Following the pandemic of COVID-19, organizations have become aware that staff returning to work will need to adhere to new hygiene rules.

These rules, as part of a variety of measures, include:
  • Social distancing
  • Wearing masks
  • Frequent hands washing
  • New office cleaning regimes

Door Tablet helps clients by educating staff about the new rules and provide the following additional functions:
  1. Remind staff to wash hands after using interactive public devices
  2. Display slide shows with the new rules
  3. Employ sensors to reduce interactions
  4. Send cleaning teams reminders about room cleaning
  5. Measure people density in common areas and meeting spaces

With release 9.5 Door Tablet covers the first 3 options above, while 4 and 5 will be available in follow up releases.  Additionally, when your Door Tablet displays are not in use, there is now an option to leverage pre-built hygiene, health and safety slide show messaging to remind colleagues to take the necessary precautions. See here for further info

Door Tablet Capacity Monitoring
Door Tablet now offers capacity monitoring through integration with the CogniPoint system.  The platform is a ground breaking, field proven solution that enables automation of commercial buildings, by sensing and processing information about where and how occupants use the work space.

CogniPoint allows you to optimise allocation of physical resources such as workstations, meeting rooms, lighting, HVAC and more, leading to significant cost-savings and improved efficiency. The CogniPoint system is comprised of highly intelligent image-based sensors, deep-learning algorithms and a cloud management system. See here for further info

Door Tablet 3-Legged Authentication for Google G-Suite (updated)
At Door Tablet we support 3-legged authentication.  Previously, Door Tablet only supported 2-legged authentication. This method is sufficient for organisations with domain-wide authorisation. For larger organisations, 3-legged authentication is required. This limits access to resources based on a specific admin user. Door Tablet will only be able to access resources that an administrator has been granted access to. See here for further info

New In-Room interface
The Door Tablet In Room display offers a new interface. When you pair displays, you designate a display to be outside or inside the room. When you use the In-Room display, the focus is on meeting duration with a clear count down to the meeting end, and its shrinking duration. See here for further info

Room capacity notices
Door Tablet displays are now equipped with Room Capacity indicators, with configurable messaging to inform the meeting host if rooms are over capacity.
