Automate start-up

When you set a Door Tablet on a Windows device, consider setting it to automatically run the Door Tablet App and open it directly to the workspace you desire.

The following steps will be required:

  1. Remove the need for a user name and password during login
  2. Set the Door Tablet Device Handler to start automatically. When you use the installer we provide this is already done for you
  3. Set the Door Tablet App to start automatically. The steps for this are described below
  4. Set you device to stay awake
  5. Set Door Tablet to Auto Resume
  6. Launch the Door Tablet App, connect to your server and open the required workspace/meeting room
  7. Test your work by restarting the device. Lean back and watch.

Set-up the Door Tablet App to start automatically
Unlike normal Windows desktop application, setting up UWP applications require different actions. Follow these steps:
  1. Create a shortcut of the application on your device desktop
  2. Drag the new shortcut to the startup folder.

After the App is installed do this:
  1. Launch the App
  2. Exit the App
  3. Expand the Startup
  4. Drag the Door Tablet icon to the desk top


Your are now read to use the new link in startup. Do this:
  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Paste this in the address bar and hit return: shell:startup
  3. Drag the shortcut from the desktop into the explorer window. You should see it like this:


Set your device to stay awake. Click on Start and type Power...
