New client software released
 The Door Tablet Client was released for Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSSP). This is great news for organizations who wish to deploy Digital Signage in their business and combine it with meeting room signage at the same time. The platform boasts a range of devices, from small 10.1" touch displays to large way-finding screens. Although the current 10.1" touch does not offer PoE, the slick, frameless design allows for wired networking.

New APIs
The Door Tablet now offers two new APIs. The APIs allow you to access and manipulate schedules in Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Google for Work Calendars. When using the Door Tablet API you can greatly reduce the effort in accessing these platforms by as much as 90%.
All access is performed via the Door Tablet server with the complexity greatly reduced by the ability to issue simple HTTP GET calls to Door Tablet and the server will reply with a JSON/P. This can be used for integration of schedules in corporate systems, CRM system, intranet portals and so on. The opportunities are endless.

Client Apps update
As always, the apps become public at different times. The following table provides for the release schedule of the V7.3 Apps:
- Android: on Google Play now
- iOS: awaiting Apple approval, expected 21 December
- SSSP: available now via the server
- Windows Store: uploaded by end of 18 December
New hardware
Until recently the tablet hardware we offered was based the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. Based on the drop of stock it has become clear that Samsung has stopped making the tablet and have now switched to a new design in the form of the Galaxy Tab A, S and E. As a result we will also be changing the components of our offering with new tablet models and new enclosures.
We will also be offering new enclosures for iPads, iPad Minis and iPad Pros.

Language switching
Door Tablet Clients offer ten built-in languages. You can also create your own language or modify parts of an existing language to suit your needs.
With this version we take language support forward by allowing users to switch the display language themselves by touching controls on the tablet. The new feature offers a "sticky" language too: after a set time, the display reverts to the primary language, automatically.
Language switching allows enterprises to run Door Tablet in a local language while offering visitors an easy way to switch to another. For example, all the meeting rooms in Frankfurt run in German and those in Paris run in French. A visitor from New York can switch the display language to American English, using touch.

G-Cloud 7
Public.Class Limited is now an approved supplier to the Government Cloud (G-Cloud) Digital Marketplace. The service we offer is a Door Tablet Cloud service.
Government departments that wish to introduce a meeting room signage are now able to install a Door Tablet system with ease.
