Planon and Door Tablet on-premise

Connect to Planon on Premise. This is simple to implement with the help of our Server Installer and a direct connection to your Planon Server using the Planon Connector for Door Tablet.


Getting Started
Follow our guidelines on how to get Door Tablet to work with Planon.  Its easy.  Just follow this link.

Basic configuration
  1. Obtain the Planon Door Tablet connector - contact your Planon account manager
  2. Follow our simple guide on preparing Planon for Door Tablet
  3. Ensure that your version of Planon is up-to-date and is at least in version L63
  4. Test the connection
Option
Please ask your Planon account manager to facilitate the connection between Door Tablet and Planon.

Services
The Door Tablet implementation interfacing with Planon is very similar to our integration with Microsoft 365.  Minor differences in the first relase are:
  1. No meeting participants listing
  2. No integration with the paid version of Microsoft Team.  Integration with the free version is planned for 2021.

Microsoft Exchange Server
Door Tablet connects to the Exchange server as the first step of your configuration, thereafter we connect to Exchange to retrive schedules, post new meetings, update existing schedules and more
Exchange Web Services
Door Tablet connect to Office 365 using the EWS facility to retrive room information, schedules and book reservations
Door Tablet Server
The server connects to your Exchange server and at the other end serves the tablet to provide all the functionality needed. The Door Tablet server offers a web interface which you use to manage all its function. Updates to the server and its application functionality are also easy to implement.
Door Tablet Clients
Use a variety of clients to connect to the Door Tablet Server. Use Android tablets, Apple iPads tablets or Microsoft Surface tablets. You can also use any modern browser on any display to connect as a client to the server. Use large TV screens to greet guests and display a room group schedule
Administration
Use a web browser to to administer the Door Tablet server, control tablet functionality and branding at room level and perform all admin functions
