It’s been a busy year at Door Tablet! Since our last summer update, we’ve delivered new integrations, strengthened security, expanded our partnerships, showcased our solutions at ISE, and added support for powerful new hardware. Here’s a look back at what we’ve been up to.

Door Tablet at ISE 2025

We were proud to showcase Door Tablet again at ISE, the world’s leading AV and systems integration exhibition. Our presence was a great success, giving us the opportunity to connect with partners, demonstrate our latest integrations and devices, and share our continued innovations. We’re already looking forward to returning next year with even more to present.

Door Tablet Blog

This spring, we launched the Door Tablet Blog, a dedicated space for news, updates, and insights. The blog is designed to highlight what inspires us in the development of Door Tablet while also addressing the challenges organisations face in managing rooms and workspaces. It brings together our experience, client feedback, and wider workplace trends to provide ideas and practical takeaways that go beyond product updates.

To make sure the content is as valuable as possible, we also ran a survey to learn what readers want more of. The results showed a clear demand for real-world examples of Door Tablet in use and more visual information to make features and solutions easier to understand. With this in mind, we’ll continue shaping the blog to share stories, insights, and resources that help teams get the most out of their spaces.

New Integrations

MDaemon

This year we added full support for MDaemon Messaging Server, a trusted email and collaboration platform used by organisations worldwide. By integrating directly with Door Tablet, MDaemon customers can now enjoy real-time, two-way booking synchronisation. Meetings created in MDaemon appear instantly on Door Tablet displays, and bookings made on the tablets sync straight back into calendars - reducing double bookings and ensuring everyone sees accurate availability.

Prism (Building Engines)

We also introduced integration with Prism by Building Engines, a leading property and operations management platform. Prism helps real estate managers and tenants oversee everything from space usage to facility requests across large building portfolios. With Door Tablet integration, users benefit from live availability displays, intuitive booking, check-in, and wayfinding directly connected to Prism, helping make complex workplace and property management both simple and efficient.

Springshare LibCal (In progress)

We’ve been working hard on our upcoming LibCal integration, designed especially for libraries and academic environments. LibCal is a widely used system for managing room, desk, and equipment reservations. Our integration will enable Door Tablet to display availability, manage bookings, and support on-screen check-in directly from LibCal. Progress is well underway, and we’re excited to share more soon.

Partnerships

IAdea Partnership

Our partnerships continue to grow, with a focus on strengthening our collaboration with IAdea to deliver powerful and reliable hardware solutions.

As part of this, Door Tablet now fully integrates with the WRP-1000 - branded as the Door Tablet IDA-S - a sleek, touch-enabled signage device featuring a bold surround LED status bar for clear room visibility at a distance. This integration gives our clients even more choice in high-quality hardware for their Door Tablet deployments.

Security Enhancements

One-Time Password (OTP)

We introduced OTP authentication for the Web UI, adding an extra layer of security. Users must enter a code sent to their email before logging in, ensuring only verified users gain access. OTP can also be set to prompt at intervals, helping organisations prevent unauthorised access and giving IT and facilities teams added peace of mind.

Permissions System

We launched a new role-based permissions system for the Web UI, giving administrators precise control over who can configure rooms, manage integrations, edit settings, view analytics, or handle licensing. This separation of responsibilities reduces the risk of accidental changes, protects sensitive settings, and ensures the right people have the right level of access.

Floor Plan Enhancements

Routes

We introduced routes that guide users from the display’s location to any selected workspace. When someone taps on a room or its entry in the legend, a highlighted path appears on the map - typically a coloured line with arrows - showing the way. The route stays visible for a short time before fading, keeping the display clear while providing practical, real-time wayfinding.

Agenda in Legends

We also enhanced floor plan legends to display the full agenda for each room. This means users can instantly see upcoming bookings right from the map, without needing to click into each room individually. It’s a faster, clearer way to understand what’s happening across your workplace.
