SL Android 8 to 8.1

This short document describes how to migrate a Door Tablet SL running Android 8 to Android 8.1 using firmware V1.0.5.

The update uses the normal firmware update methods, which you can perform using the RCC, using USB, or, using the "Remote firmware update URL".

Steps:

1. Download the ZIP Android-8to8.1.zip (582.4MB). Click here
2. Contact us for the password
3. Unzip the file to one level only. You will now have two file
4. Use the XML file, firmware-8to8.1.xml, if you want to use Remote firmware update URL
5. Update the firmware in you chosen method

Once you upgraded your device to Android 8.1, you can perform further upgrades to Android 10, 12 and 14. Needless to say, this is a length process and you should only perform it if needed.
