Request Assistance

Door Tablet was designed to make your life easier when looking after your visitors or meeting space users. One of these functions is the ability to request assistance directly from the tablet without leaving the room. Visitors no longer need to search for assistance and lose valuable meeting time.

To redirect assistance requests to automated systems such as ServiceNow use the routing tagging feature Database 'Door Tablet HELP', View 'Help Documents', Document 'ServiceNow'.

Request Assistance
To request assistance, tap on the "Help" button at the bottom of the display:

This screen will appear:

Enter your name as well as the problems with the room. You can tick off the problems you wish to report as well as sending a phone number to receive a call about the rooms.

Configure Assistance
Before you can use this feature you must set-up contact information. Note: users can request assistance twice only during a meeting, this is to avoid abuse of the system. You set assistance information in:

  1. System Set-up
  2. Room Configuration (setting here overrides System Set-up).

Update the System profile using the Notes client:

You can access the above from the Tablet application too.

What can be reported on
Door Tablet offers a range of items for which assistance can be requested. When configuring a meeting space you can refine the list and remove items which are not relevant for the meeting area:
  1. Catering
  2. Cleanliness
  3. Computer/Network
  4. Furniture
  5. Heating/Cooling or Climate
  6. Lighting
  7. Projector
  8. Telephone
  9. Video conferencing
  10. White/black board
These values are automatically translated which you switch languages

Other items that may be reported on
From Door Tablet V8.4.8 you can also specify your own list of items that will show like the standard items to the end users. These items will not change when you switch languages. To set the base list of items start by amending the System Profile (Sensors/Monitoring/Assistance):

When you set the "Ask for details" to Users must type details, user have to type at least 20 chars.

In spaces and neighborhoods in the Web UI, you can specify what may be reported on:

Using the example below, on the tablet users can request assistance only from the selected items:

Note: all the user screens, including the help pop-up, are available in a number of languages. So, the pop-up above will appear like so if the language for the meeting space was set to French:

For more information about language support in Door Tablet click here Database 'dt.HELP', View 'Help Documents', Document 'Languages'.

Click "OK". You have successfully submitted a request for help.
