Message templates In this video We will explain how to create your own message templates that Door Tablet will send to end-users We will show where to find the default message templates that are automatically used unless you create your own Finally we will show how to send a test message to view what the message will looks like Door Tablet sends messages to end-users in a number of events such as sending a check-in code You are able to change these messages to suit your preferences using message templates If you don’t make any changes, the built in templates will be used First log into the web UI Go to ‘Advanced’ in the menu Then click on ‘Templates’ We can see here the existing templates, but not all the templates Door Tablet uses To create a template, click on the ‘+Template’ button We then select the template code the language tick to make it active Then we type the subject and the body If we want to see the kind of text that the default template uses, we can scroll down and see the default template here We can see that the templates are very short They don’t have any terms or conditions or disclaimers or anything like that but you can add these to your template if you wish Please note, the use of templates for a specific language will be used if the Door Tablet endpoint uses that language Or in the case of Door Tablet Booker if the user set themselves up in a particular language Door Tablet currently supports 20 languages Let’s click 'Cancel' on this template and look at one of our existing ones the Check-in Code Confirmation This is an English template and you can see the default here We have added a logo – you can do the same When doing this the images need to be placed in a publicly visible folder on the web server It doesn’t have to be the Door Tablet server but it must be a server that your email recipients can see The easiest way to create a link to an image is by dropping an emoticon Then once we have an anchor like this, we double click on it We can see the URL for the image which can be changed to the URL of the image of our choice Let’s look at the image URL assigned to our logo We can see it points to the Door Tablet public website and in a folder called message images there is a JPEG called DT works When you create your own template you may want to send a test message to see how the message will look We do that by typing an email here and clicking send Let’s look at this message in Office 365 When we refresh our inbox we can see the message that we just sent Every token is mentioned here, and this allows us to see the exact formatting If we are including an image we may need to click on this link and now we can see the logo Thank you for watching
