Preparing the Door Tablet EPS Controller In this video We will show how to prepare the EPS Controller to be used for a particular neighbourhood We will show the items that need to be inputted into the neighbourhood record to do this Finally, we will show how to see the result of these changes To prepare the EPS Controller we must first create a neighbourhood containing the spaces that will be used on that controller We have another video called ‘Creating Neighbourhoods’ that shows how to do this Once the neighbourhood has been created, we need to create a NBR record Without creating one we will not be able to assign characteristics to that neighbourhood Click on 'NBR' and a new record opens up We now select the neighbourhood In this instance we are using a neighbourhood called ‘myPlace’ We can now change various settings that affect this group of spaces We go to the tab that says ‘ePaper controller’ We select the device model we are going to use as the default device for the spaces in this neighbourhood and set the template to the same model If there are spaces in this neighbourhood that use a different device this would be selected in the individual space record Here we can add a setting so that we will be alerted if the battery drops below a certain level We select the percentage we want to be alerted on keep the other settings as they appear and submit the record So now we have a neighbourhood called myPlace that has 4 desks and 5 meetings rooms with a settings document that will now allow us to open this space using the ePaper system Let’s see the result of these changes We switch back to the dashboard and we can open the display application by clicking here It is trying to open a neighbourhood that we have used before We are going to stop that and log into the server We can see our neighbourhood here We can open it and see all its members Now we go to ‘Wayfinders’ at the bottom of the display and find ‘myPlace’ here The ePaper Controller is now showing as enabled If we click on it to open it we can see all our spaces which are ready to be used And that’s it, the controller has been prepared We explain more about how the EPS controller works in another video Thank you for watching
