Extracting Logs

The Door Tablet AIO/SL/NXT allows you to extract logs from a device for the purpose of troubleshooting. Please note that the OS version in use may offer a different path to get to the Log setup but in most cases it will be via Advanced settings.

The steps required are as follows:

  1. Ensure that the logs are populating
  2. Prepare a USB stick
  3. Insert into the device
  4. Save the logs
  5. Review the logs (and email these to us to support@door-tablet.com)

Populating the logs
Before you extract logs we need to ensure that logging was enabled and that they contain data.
  1. To verify that you are populating the logs: open settings and check that Log is active. The menu option is often Log
  2. Please note that the log location, and the menu option that activates it, may be in different menu option depending on model
  3. Perform the tasks that you wish us to investigate - this will ensure the logs have useful data

Preparing a USB stick
  1. Open the USB stick on your PC/Mac
  2. On the root of the device create a folder and name it: _dump_debug_log

Insert the USB into the Door Tablet AIO/TC and navigate to the log options on Door Tablet AIO/TC:

Press the Log button:

Touch on "Log Location" and "Store to internal storage":

Review the Logs
Once the above process is complete, you can review the contents of the folder in the USB drive:
