Connecting to Microsoft 365 In this video We will show you how to get the information needed to connect the Door Tablet Server to Microsoft 365 At this point you should have already installed the Door Tablet server and have rooms set up in Microsoft 365 We will also show how to check your connection Finally, we will show you how to synchronise and activate your rooms First, log in to the admin web UI using the standard username and password ‘dtwebadmin’ and ‘password’ If we click on ‘Spaces' we can see that we have no workspaces listed here yet We need to open the ‘System Profile’ and go to the 'Basics' tab These are the fields we will need to provide to make the connection You can see these are currently empty We recommend that you use Application Permissions so tick this checkbox here Leave it unticked if you want to use Delegated Permissions However, this video is only explaining how to set up the connection with Application Permissions If you need any guidance, click on the icon here to open the page in our help system that explains how to achieve this task But we will also go through the steps now We need to create an application on the Microsoft Azure platform There is a link here in the help page to take us to the Azure dashboard Click on ‘App registration’ You may have existing applications here, but we are going to create a new one by clicking on ‘New registration’ Give it a name Here, I called it ‘Door Tablet AP’ – for Application Permissions And then click ‘Register’ Here are two of the data items you will need for the connection the Application ID and Tenant ID We copy these by clicking on ‘Copy to clipboard’ copy these onto a notepad or any text file Now go to ‘Certificates and secrets’ We are going to request a New client secret and call it DoorTabletAP The name does not matter here, you just need to remember what it is set it to the maximum duration and click on ‘Add’ The client secret has now been created It is important to note here that what we need is the secret value, not the secret ID So we can copy that to our clipboard Now we have all the data items that we need from this new application on the Azure platform We still need to add API permissions so that we can use this application to access the correct objects We are focusing on application permissions, so we click on ‘API permissions’ Click on 'Microsoft Graph' and you get this pop-up As you can see here, it says 'Delegated permissions' On the right it says 'Application permissions', so we click on that Now we can use the search facility to find the scopes that we need to enable The first one will look for places, so we type ‘place’ Select ‘Read all company places’ and then ‘Update permissions’ Now we do this again, click on 'Microsoft graph' and then 'Application permissions' This time we type 'Calendar' And select 'Calendars.ReadWrite' Again, click on ‘Update permissions’ Finally, we go to the same place and type ‘mail’ Select ‘Mail.Send’ and ‘Update permissions’ As you can see here, all the scopes we need have been added There is one scope that was added by default that we do not actually need We can remove it now click here and confirm the removal The last step is to click here to grant those scopes admin consent and confirm As you can see, these have now changed to a green tick Now our application is ready we can go back to the System Profile and finish the configuration there Remember, we copied three items, so we are going to drop these here The 'Tenant ID', the 'Application ID', and the 'Secret Value' We are also going to add a username which will be used as the sender identity for when emails are sent And that’s it We are now ready to check that we can indeed connect to Microsoft 365 Click on this button here All being well, we can see how many resources we have Now scroll to the bottom and save the system profile by clicking ‘Submit’ Next go to 'Spaces' Click on ‘Synchronise’ You can see here the server reports that it has identified and inserted 23 resources If we click ‘OK’ we can see our meeting spaces, but they are currently inactive therefore, they are in red When we click on a space we can make those we want to use active and if you are using professional hardware tick ‘Pro Hardware license’ We are going to add the location for this workspace Now, we are going to scroll down and click submit We can see this room is now active, and it has gone green Now we can open this meeting room by clicking here We can immediately see the appointments in our meeting room You can now continue to activate all your other meeting spaces and then configure them to work for your business We have another video which shows you how to set up business rules for your workspaces Thank you for watching
