MDaemon and Door Tablet Integration In this video, we will: Configure the connection between MDaemon and Door Tablet Synchronise and activate meeting rooms Demonstrate two-way room booking functionality This video focuses specifically on the integration process between MDaemon and Door Tablet and won’t cover all advanced features, we’ll stick to the essential steps of establishing the initial connection and room synchronisation First, log into your MDaemon system using your admin credentials Next, navigate to the 'Setup Public Folders' section which is where you'll create your room calendars Then, create calendar folders for your specific rooms We recommend using a clear naming convention like "Floor 11-Blue Room" or "Floor 12-Green Room" to make identification easy After that, ensure that the folders are marked as "Enable public folders" in the "Public & Shared Folders" tab Now, configure the access controls for each room calendar Ensure that the system admin has sufficient rights to read and modify calendar items Next, log into the Door Tablet server and navigate to the System Profile to start configuring the connection with MDaemon Next, you'll want to select the technology dropdown and choose MDaemon from the available options Please note: If you MDaemon installation is on the cloud or it can be accessed from the cloud, Door Tablet itself may also be on the cloud or you can use Door Tablet CONNECT Next enter your connection details - this includes your admin username password, server URL, and port number If you used a common string in your room names, for example “room” you can use that to limit calendars found by Door Tablet Go ahead and perform a connection check to ensure everything is set up correctly You should now see how many meeting spaces have been found Close the System Profile and switch to the 'Spaces' page Verify these are the rooms you're expecting Click on "Synchronise" and Door Tablet will process your rooms You'll notice the rooms are initially inactive - don't worry, that's normal Take a moment to activate the rooms you want to use Complete the licensing process for each room you're planning to activate Where it says ‘Address/Key’ You'll notice the unique path automatically generated by the system This path, such as "PUBLIC/Door Tablet/Blue Room" is the critical link between MDaemon and Door Tablet This is the unique identifier that allows Door Tablet to connect to the specific calendar in MDaemon The path comes directly from the folder structure you created in MDaemon and is automatically inserted during synchronisation Set the location name, here we just called it "MDaemon" but for it could be ‘Head Office' Assign a unique name to each room And here you can update the room capacity to ensure accurate booking information Then save your room configurations You can now open the room in a browser, in the same way it will be opened from a tablet Now for the fun part - try booking a room from the MDaemon calendar Then, book the same room from the Door Tablet App We can watch how the two-way synchronisation works in real-time Observe how the room status changes instantly across both platforms And there you have it - we've successfully connected MDaemon and Door Tablet creating a seamless room management and scheduling system Thank you for watching
