Door Tablet Server Options In this video We'll discuss the different server options available when deploying Door Tablet We will explain the differences between using an on-premise server cloud based server and Door Tablet CONNECT server Door Tablet runs on several servers, each offering different advantages It is also possible to migrate from one server type to another All of the options are secure, but some clients may require that data they have is stored under their control and in their jurisdiction Therefore, this may impact which server type is selected The servers fall into two main categories Owned, either on premise or on private cloud Shared, cloud based. This server type is called Door Tablet CONNECT The first architecture we will show is the on-premise VM (virtual machine) This requires the organisation to have its own Door Tablet server which can be on a dedicated machine or a virtual machine This is suitable for organisations that want everything on-site and have high security requirements The second architecture is the cloud VM This also requires the organisation to have its own server, but it runs on a cloud based VM The endpoints communicate with the cloud-based server which in turn communicates with the scheduling platform The third architecture is Door Tablet CONNECT This does not require the organisation to have its own server Instead, the organisation shares the Door Tablet setup with other organisations on a Door Tablet provided server This means the organisation does not have to worry about setting up maintaining, or upgrading the server In another video we will go into further details about Door Tablet CONNECT Thank you for watching Door Tablet provides integration options for meeting room booking and workplace management systems.
