General Web

From version 10.50.12, you can run Door Tablet on Crestron display hardware using a URL instead of installing the APK.


When using this mode:

    • Crestron LEDs are fully supported
    • You have access to all the latest features available on Door Tablet servers, including Door Tablet CONNECT
    • RFID features are not available
    • Crestron motion sensors are not available
    • Door Tablet Device Hub functionality—supporting motion sensors, climate monitoring, and LED walls—remains available

Getting Started
    1. Ensure that your device firmware includes the Door Tablet software.
      For exact supported models, contact Door Tablet or your Crestron reseller.
    2. Open a browser on the device and create a username and password.
    3. Log in to the device.
    4. Go to Settings.
    5. Scroll down to the Applications tab.
    6. Select Crestron General Web.
    7. Enter your Door Tablet server URL.

Server URL format
If you run on your own server, on premise or cloud the format is:
<http/s>://<host-address:port>/doortablet/index.html

If you use a Door Tablet CONNECT instance the format is:
https://connect.door-tablet.com/dt_<instance>/doors.nsf/index.html

Note: the above CONNECT server may be on a different host, depending on availability. For example, it could be connect_eu or connect_jp.

Save your changes and Reboot
Once the device reboots you should see the following screen:
