The relationship between Door Tablet and Qbic goes beyond software running on hardware. Over years of collaboration, requirements from Door Tablet and our customers have contributed to Qbic API enhancements, device-management capabilities and even purpose-built hardware.

Smarter Device Control

Door Tablet contributed requirements for greater control through the Qbic API, including flexible sleep scheduling that accommodates different working weeks around the world.

Remote Deployment

Our request for remote application installation and updates contributed to Qbic API enhancements, helping customers manage Door Tablet devices without requiring an MDM solely for software distribution.

SL Cyber Development

When a Door Tablet customer needed a display for a high-security environment, we took the requirement to Qbic. The result was SL Cyber; a hardened device developed for Door Tablet with unnecessary connectivity and access points removed or disabled.

From API enhancements to purpose-built hardware, our collaboration with Qbic has been shaped by real customer requirements.

A premium 10.1-inch interactive room display designed for high-performance workplace scheduling.

The NXT combines a Full HD touchscreen with built-in RFID, PoE+, Wi-Fi and highly visible LEDs across the front and sides. Users can immediately identify room status from a distance and interact with Door Tablet directly at the room.

With flexible glass, surface and recessed mounting options, the NXT is designed for professional workplace installations where appearance and functionality are equally important.

The Door Tablet SL provides a streamlined 10.1-inch touchscreen solution for meeting room scheduling.

With built-in PoE+, Wi-Fi and a bright status LED, the SL provides the essential hardware required for an effective room booking display while maintaining a slim, professional appearance.

Security-conscious environments

Door Tablet SL Cyber

Meeting room scheduling for security-conscious environments

For organisations where security is a priority, the Door Tablet SL Cyber combines Door Tablet room scheduling with a Qbic display specifically hardened to reduce potential points of access.

The device uses a hardened operating system that restricts unauthorised access and limits the software that can be installed. USB access, Developer Options, remote debugging, the camera and microphone are disabled, while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are physically removed from the main board. Only the Door Tablet application can be installed, and operating system updates are restricted to certified versions.

Physical security is considered too, with a built-in security lock and support for permanent installation on surfaces including glass, brick, plaster and metal. Connectivity and power can be provided through a single PoE+ connection, without relying on Wi-Fi.

The Door Tablet SQR is a compact 3.6-inch square touchscreen designed for desks, smaller meeting spaces and other bookable workplace resources.

Despite its size, SQR provides full Door Tablet booking functionality. Users can book, check in, check out, extend or end bookings directly from the device.

An integrated LED bar communicates availability at a glance, while RFID/NFC enables fast user identification and check-in. When used for meeting rooms, SQR can also integrate with motion sensors to help identify actual occupancy.

The Door Tablet DBD takes desk booking further by combining an interactive Door Tablet display with a complete desk docking solution.

A 3.9-inch touchscreen displays desk availability and booking information, while an LED provides immediate visual status. Users can identify themselves and check in using supported NFC/RFID options.

Beyond booking, DBD connects the technology at the workstation itself, including monitors, network connectivity and peripherals. High-power USB-C support helps create a consistent plug-in-and-work experience at shared desks.

Cable-free signage

Cable-Free Workspace Signage – Door Tablet EPS

Not every workspace needs a touchscreen.

Door Tablet EPS combines Door Tablet software with compact Qbic-manufactured ePaper displays to provide a low-power, cable-free solution for desks, meeting rooms and other resources.

Available in 4-inch and 7.5-inch formats, the displays use high-contrast black, white and red ePaper and can operate without power or network cabling at each display.

The displays communicate with the Door Tablet EPS Controller running on the Qbic-manufactured ABX2, creating a centrally managed ePaper network.

Wayfinding & the Technology Behind EPS

The compact ABX2 brings Door Tablet to large displays and also powers the Door Tablet ePaper ecosystem.

For wayfinding, connect the ABX2 to a display to create interactive or non-interactive multi-resource signage. Organisations can show room and desk availability, schedules and visual floor plans on screens positioned throughout communal areas.

The same compact device is also used to run the Door Tablet EPS Controller, communicating with Door Tablet ePaper displays and connecting them to the wider Door Tablet system.
