Microsoft 365 Government and Door Tablet

Microsoft 365 Government provides dedicated environments for eligible U.S. government organisations and their partners. GCC, GCC High and DoD serve different security, compliance and operational requirements, while supporting the Microsoft 365 productivity services organisations rely on for scheduling and collaboration.

Door Tablet connects to Microsoft 365 through Microsoft Graph, allowing organisations to use their existing room resource calendars for meeting room scheduling. The appropriate connection configuration depends on the Microsoft 365 Government environment in use.

  • GCC: Government Community Cloud for eligible federal, state, local and other government organisations and their partners.

  • GCC High: A more isolated environment designed for organisations with elevated security and compliance requirements, including defence contractors handling controlled information.

  • DoD: A dedicated environment for the U.S. Department of Defense, designed for its specific security and operational requirements.

Flexible Deployment Options

Door Tablet can be deployed on-premises, in a privately managed cloud environment, or through Door Tablet CONNECT. The appropriate deployment depends on your organisation’s Microsoft 365 Government environment, security policies and compliance requirements.

  • Private Cloud: Host the Door Tablet server software on cloud infrastructure that you manage. This option provides the flexibility of cloud hosting while allowing your organisation to control the server environment, configuration and data management. Private cloud deployment is suitable for organisations that want cloud-based infrastructure without relying on a fully managed SaaS service.
  • Door Tablet CONNECT: CONNECT is Door Tablet’s managed cloud solution, removing the need to provision and maintain your own server. It offers a convenient deployment option for organisations using Microsoft 365 Government, subject to their specific security and compliance requirements.
  • On-Premises Server: Run Door Tablet on your own infrastructure for greater control over the server environment and network configuration. This option is particularly suitable for organisations with strict internal IT policies, data governance requirements or a preference for locally managed systems.

Your IT team can configure access to the Door Tablet server and its connection to Microsoft 365 Government in accordance with your organisation’s security policies.

Getting Started with Microsoft 365 Government Integration

Door Tablet connects to Microsoft 365 Government using Microsoft Graph. Your administrator will need to configure the appropriate application registration and permissions for your environment.

The connection process generally involves creating an application registration in your Microsoft 365 tenant and entering the required application details into the Door Tablet server configuration. GCC, GCC High and DoD use different Microsoft Graph and identity endpoints, so the correct environment must be selected during setup.

Our team can help you review your Microsoft 365 environment, deployment preferences and integration requirements before you begin.
