Wayfinding displays In this video We will explain the necessity of neighbourhoods for wayfinding displays We will show how to access wayfinding displays We will look at our airport, cluster and schedule displays Door Tablet wayfinding displays are offered on all Door Tablet systems There are a variety of these, and we will cover a few in this video One of the most popular is the Door Tablet floor plan this is covered on a separate video Let’s have a look at how we create a wayfinding display We first log in to the web UI In here we need to create a group of rooms, which we call a neighbourhood A neighbourhood is the basic membership of a wayfinding display If we click on ‘Work Spaces’ and look at this group that we call 'Office 365' we can open a space in that group Its core membership is its location, Office 365 but we can add this space to other groups or to be members of other neighbourhoods As we can see here this space also belongs to ‘Building A’ and a group called ‘3 rooms’ We will focus on the primary neighbourhood which is the location This is all you need to do to group resources together Once grouped together, they can be displayed in a variety of ways We can apply various settings to our groups Let’s look at the settings for the primary neighbourhood The settings record is created by clicking on the 'NBR' button we see here We can see a whole range of characteristics for that neighbourhood We will click on the tab where we see ‘Wayfinding Displays’ and if we scroll down to ‘Floor plans’ this is where we uploaded the image for the floor plan The image is then edited and associated with workspaces and their schedules As mentioned before, we have another video about floor plans that explains exactly how to do this We can apply styling for each of our neighbourhoods and this is specified in the file path here Now we will open the wayfinding display for our neighbourhood on the screen or tablet We tap on the server we wish to open and type the key code When it opens we can see all the workspaces that are currently available on this system We tap here on the bottom left to open ‘Wayfinders’ When we do this the last wayfinder that we looked at is remembered by the system If we clear that search we can see all the neighbourhoods that we can select Each one of these will display options for wayfinding For now, we will focus on our group, Office 365 We see that when we open the group several display types are available although some might not be enabled For example, if we want to display an animation or slideshow we must add it in the settings As we can see here the slideshow says ‘None Specified’ as this has not been added to the settings At the top here we see the floor plan, but we won’t go into it on this video We will look at the airport, cluster and schedule displays The floor plan and cluster displays are interactive displays and offer a whole set of functions Let’s look at the cluster display Firstly, this shows our group of workspaces and their schedules But it also highlights to us that a workspace requires an action in this case check-in is required If we tap on the flashing workspace we can check-in to it Now we will go to another display type We unlock the display by tapping on the padlock typing the key code and then tapping the padlock again Let’s look at the airport display As you can see this looks similar to flight departures or arrivals The first page shows the current meetings, which have a red circle Meetings that are coming up soon will be marked in amber And meetings later on are marked in green If we have more meetings than what will fit on one screen these will be paged automatically, just like in an airport Further than that, if we wish to display multiple screens we can tell the Door Tablet system to just display one of these panes Every aspect of the display is brandable including the size and type of fonts, the layout, logos and backgrounds The number of columns are set in the Settings Record We will leave this display again The final display we will look at is the schedule display It is very similar to cluster, but it is not interactive This display has been branded, it has a background graphic a logo and the bars are a coloured purple Again, this display will start paging after some time as there are more workspaces than what fits on the screen Thank you for watching Door Tablet room displays complement meeting room booking and workspace management software.
