Floor plan display In this video We will show what the Door Tablet floor plan display looks like We will show the ways in which you can interact with the display We will explain how to create and customise floor plans from the admin web UI Door Tablet offers a variety of wayfinding display types Wayfinding displays show a collection of resources on the same display showing elements such as the status of the workspace The most popular of these is the floor plan We will open one of our servers to access a floor plan Tap on ‘Wayfinders’ in the bottom left of the screen Here we may have a group of wayfinders but as we have searched for ‘of’ our group called 'Office 365' is showing first, we will tap on this here This wayfinding display has 22 resources associated to it Here we can pick from a range of display options Let’s open the floor plan In the floor plan workspaces are shown in different colours Green workspaces are free Amber is a space that will soon become active Red is a space that is currently busy And finally, blue is a space that has a motion sensor that is detecting people are using the workspace The floor plan is interactive so we can touch on a space and actions will be shown to us If we tap on a free space the option will come up for us to reserve the space In this case, this space requires an authorisation code to make a reservation Every space will offer different options when we tap on this one it asks us to check-in When we tap on this space we again see reserve but if we tap reserve this time we are not challenged with an authorisation code and are instead asked to type our PIN We cover using PINs in another video We have complete control over the design of the display The legend that is here on the left could be on the right instead and it could have multiple columns We can also use CSS to brand the whole display We can have multiple floor plans on the same display So, for example we can have one display that shows the floor plans for each floor in a building And to switch between the floorplans we would just tap on the headlines which would be at the top of the screen The graphic that we are showing here is entirely random You can come up with any graphic you like, making it 3D if you want The key point here is it is completely up to you The status shown for each workspace is the current status but if we want to see the status over time we tap on these bars at the top Now we can see the spaces laid out in time bars This makes it easier to see the flow of meetings and the resources in each workspace We tap here to get back to the floor plan The actions that are presented when we tap on a workspace can also be performed by tapping on the workspace in the legend When a workspace is tapped on a time bar is shown here which shows the flow of that workspace To configure the floor plan, we use the Door Tablet web UI so we will go and log in The floor plan we were looking at was called 'Office 365' So, we go to ‘Spaces’ and then select Office 365 so we click on this The settings record is created by clicking on the NBR button we see here One of the things we can do here is attach the floor plan graphics Go into the tab where wayfinding displays is listed and scroll down to floor plan This is the graphic we have uploaded This is done by simply clicking ‘browse’ and attaching a graphic that you may have received from the interior designer or any source that presents your floor plan Once we have the graphic, we can edit it and create an association between the workspaces themselves and the graphic We go back to the list of rooms and on the same line as ‘Settings’ we click on ‘edit plan’ On this floor plan we are getting an alert that not all resources are linked To change that we click on the resource that is not linked on the left here and select the area on the graphic that we want to link We use these dots to shade the whole space accurately So, we have now created an association between this resource called 'Ground Zero', and the physical representation in the graphic and we can save this We will now look at labels In Door Tablet labels can display data that relates to the space We can then preview our floorplans showing the workspaces and the labels We can also choose different types of spaces This is using polygons, but we can switch to circles First, we need to click here to remove the shape then we can switch to circles and choose the radius An example of when we may use circles would be with hot desks Again, we can preview the plan and we can see here that this resource now has a circular shape Once we finish, we will submit the floorplan, this one has already been submitted There are some other characteristics that can be set up in the settings so we will go back to where we were before in the wayfinding section of the settings We can decide where we want to put the legend If we want to show the room agenda over the legend If we want to show the reservers of the booking that will show in the labels If we want to show two columns if there’s space If we want to hide ending times These are just some of the features we can select here To add multiple floor plans to the same display we go to ‘Floor Switching’ If we click on the magnifying glass we will be shown our areas and we can select the other areas we would like to include in this floor plan When we are done, we click ‘Submit’ and we are ready to redisplay the floor plan according to our design We will discuss our other wayfinding display options in another video Thank you for watching Digital
