RFID Card Integration in Door Tablet In this video, we’ll show you how to integrate RFID cards with Door Tablet How users can register their cards directly on the device and what setup is required in the admin portal to enable this process Door Tablet allows users to access a range of functions using RFID cards There are several ways to integrate RFID into your system but one of the most popular methods is to import user data first and then allow users to register their own RFID cards directly on the device installed outside meeting rooms Let’s take a look at how this works We start with a meeting room that currently has no booking From here, RFID registration is available and the user can begin the process by selecting the option to register a card Once the registration is initiated the user simply presents their RFID card to the reader on the device The system reads the card and prepares it for registration It doesn’t matter which card is used, as long as it is supported by the device Next, the user is asked to identify themselves They only need to enter their username or the part of their email address before the “@†symbol making the process quick and easy. The system supports predefined domains so users don’t need to type their full email address After submitting their username an additional security step takes place A verification code is sent to the email address associated with that user The user then checks their email, typically on their mobile device and retrieves the verification code They return to the tablet, enter the code and complete the registration process The system confirms that the user has been successfully registered In summary, the user scans their RFID card identifies themselves, verifies their identity via email and completes the process securely Now let’s look at what needs to be configured in the Door Tablet admin portal to enable this In the RFID settings, the system must be configured to use imported users Importing users is a straightforward process and the most important piece of information is the user’s email address Although RFID card numbers can also be imported it is recommended to register cards directly on the device to ensure accuracy and reliability To enhance security, email validation can be enabled This ensures that users must confirm their identity before their card is registered You can also define allowed email domains This allows users to enter only the first part of their email address, simplifying the process If a user’s domain is not included, they will not be able to complete registration With these settings in place, the process becomes both simple and secure Once registered, users can use their RFID cards to perform actions such as reserving meeting rooms, checking in, and checking out Thank you for watching
