Slide shows in Door Tablet In this video We will explain the structure of a slide show and how to make one We will show where you can select animations and behaviours for your slide shows We will look at how to add a slide show to a display To create a slide show, log in to the web UI Click on ‘Advanced’ And then ‘Slide Shows’ Here we can see a whole range of slide shows that are currently on the system Slide shows are made by creating slides and slide headers Slides can be embedded in the system or referenced to a folder on the server This is a slide that is embedded in the database Let’s look at one of the slide shows that we created for ISE 2022 We can restrict the viewing by selecting the name of the slide show We will look first at the slide In this case the slide references a folder on the server Therefore, this slide represents potentially multiple images We must name our slide show here An individual slide can also be named and slides may be shared amongst multiple slide shows By clicking on the magnifying glass we can choose other slide shows we want this slide to be in The setup here is very simple, we just specify the URL It is important to note that for this to be considered as a URL it must end with a slash and an Asterix Now let’s look at the slide show header What makes it common with the slides is the name Here we specify how the slideshow behaves When the slideshow kicks in How long before a meeting should the slideshow stop What is the interval between slides and how long the slides are going to stay on screen Door Tablet offers 360 different transitions you can play with, and you select these here When we don’t have any slides yet but want to test out the animations we can do this using the demo slides We check this box here and then click play These demo slides adhere to the settings that were specified above Let’s select the ‘Doors’ animation and see what that looks like Now to view our own slides, we untick this box pause the video and then play again This is a slideshow made from a presentation from the ISE exhibition Let’s have a look at another animation stop the video and play again As you can see it is fun to play with the different animations We can now save the slide show header here Now let’s see how we add the slide show to a display We can assign different slide shows to different displays When we go to our spaces we can see which slide shows are already showing for each workspace Let’s pick up ‘Central Park’ and assign our slide show to it We go to the tab where we see ‘Slide Shows’ and select the slide show here Now let’s open the display On the browser as this workspace is busy it will not show a slideshow However, on a tablet we can display slide shows when a workspace is busy as the LED lights will still show that the space is busy We will now delete this meeting from the calendar so we can see how the slide show begins If we keep our hand off the mouse the slide show will begin shortly Please note if you use buttonless the crosshairs will still show during the slide show Any touch on the screen and the slide show will stop Thank you for watching
