Door Tablet for HCL Domino In this video We will explain how to get Door Tablet to run on HCL Domino We will show where to download the installer And explain what needs to be edited in the system profile Finally, we will show how to synchronise your spaces Door Tablet is available on several platforms, one of these is HCL Domino To get your system up and running for this platform you first need to download the installer and deploy it on one of your HCL domino servers Log in to the Door Tablet website and go to ‘Downloads’ Download the first file here Once we have downloaded this file, we run the installer on an existing domino server When the installation is complete, we need to perform several tasks These tasks are documented on the Door Tablet help pages To find the help pages go to ‘Resources’, then ‘Documentation’ and click on ‘Product Manual’ Then jump here to find the relevant information Please note, the Door Tablet software is now available only for 64-bit servers When we install the Door Tablet server for HCL Domino files are being deposited into the HCL Domino data folder Before we launch the Door tablet add-in on that server we need to sign the databases the installer added with the server or an admin certificate Once this is done, we can start the Door Tablet server add-in by typing ‘load doortablet’ in the HCL Domino console Door tablet should be typed as one word The task 'Door Tablet' should be added as a regular task in the server notes.ini file The Door Tablet files will then be ready for use and we can log on to them using the Door Tablet web interface We log in and go to the ‘System Profile’ We select the technology that we're interested in In this case we pick up a HCL domino If our resource reservation server is different from the one we are installing we type it here under ‘Resource DB, servers’ Typically, we will install Door Tablet on the same server where the resources reservation database resides We may need to change who the owner is and the ‘Resource DB’ But that is something your HCL Domino administrator will tell you where to find We are now ready to synchronise our spaces with the resources in the HCL Domino system Go to ‘Spaces’ When you begin this list will be empty Click on this button that says ‘Synchronise’ Door Tablet will find all the resources that we have, and insert and update as required As you can see the spaces were here before so only one was inserted Once the records have been synchronised We are ready to continue to edit each and one of the entries that was found You can learn more about the settings in several Door Tablet School videos where you can get plenty of information about setting up business rules creating wayfinding displays and so on We are now ready to use Door Tablet on an HCL Domino system Thank you for watching Door Tablet integrates room and workspace management with existing enterprise systems.
