General system admin In this video We will give you a rundown of some of the key aspects of the Door Tablet Web UI We will look at the dashboard focusing on the system profile and space listings We will also look at configuring templates, translations, slideshows and more To administer all parts of Door Tablet you will be using the Door Tablet web UI To access the web UI, type the address of your server and the path of Door Tablet then forward slash ‘doorswebui.nsf' as seen at the top of the screen Then log in using the standard username and password. ‘dtwebadmin’ and ‘password’ You can change this password or create a new user later Now we can see the dashboard which provides us with access to the most common functions in the web UI We will concentrate on the setup area Let’s go into the ‘System Profile’ What we can see here is a system that is already connected to Microsoft 365 but you can of course connect to other platforms We suggest that the first thing you do as an admin is connect to your scheduling platform and confirm the connection was successful We have another video showing the platforms we support and we provide detailed documentation on how to make the connection with any of our supported platforms in our help system Now we will click on ‘Spaces’ When you start this area will be blank We click on ‘Synchronise’ to bring in the resources In this case we can see Door Tablet connected to Microsoft 365 and found 23 spaces It did not insert them in this case as they were already here When you begin, your spaces will not be active so you will go into each space and activate those you need If you are engaging in a proof of concept, you will only want a few of the spaces to be active Then you can configure each space to work for your business We have another video that discusses key business rules and how to configure these for each workspace We can also propagate the settings from one workspace to other workspaces To do this we select the spaces we want to copy the settings into here we have selected ‘All’ At the bottom of the screen click on ‘Settings Cloner’ Then we choose which workspace we want to use as a template Here we are using ‘Central Park’ Now we can choose which settings we want to clone and propagate to the spaces we have selected Then click on ‘Clone Settings’ Our settings have now been propagated to all the spaces in our environment From here we can navigate our system to see our spaces from a different perspective To set up our license we do that by clicking on ‘Licensing’ We have another video showing the easy steps for how to license Door Tablet We can also manage our users by clicking here We can create users or import users Door Tablet offers a variety of integrations, and these can be seen here If we tick ‘enable’ for Intel Unite for example there are a whole set of functions that can be activated or deactivated We offer some interesting integration possibilities with Zoom which are selected from here Please note that integration with Microsoft Teams and Google Meet is built into the product when these are your backend scheduling systems Another integration we can see here is with Dormakaba for access control Next, we will look at hot desks We need to import them into the system by going to ‘CSV file upload’ We will look into this further in another video From the web UI we can also track our devices by clicking on ‘Tracking’ Devices that are currently online will be in green Devices that may have been open but are no longer connected will be in grey What’s important to understand here is that we can send commands to all our devices from a central place We can also change the configuration of devices from here too if you use the Door Tablet enterprise edition To do so we can use hardware profiles We have two different profiles here that we can use, but we can have many We can see the details of this profile by hovering over the ‘i’ icon Hardware profiles can be defined here They provide a collection of settings that can be used to control how selected endpoints will behave We can set up sleep time wake time if they’re asleep over weekends and so on If we want to change the terminologies in our system, we can click on ‘Translations’ We can focus on just the terms we want to change – we don’t need to change all of them Let’s look at some translation sets here In this case we have only translated some terms but there are many terms that you can translate or use words that suit your preference Door Tablet offers translation in 20 languages Now we will go to ‘Templates’ When Door Tablet sends messages it uses templates We can modify these here and use templates in different languages If we omit to have a template Door Tablet will use the built-in template Templates will merge data from the database and they are very easy to put together We can be creative with the templates too For example, adding logos or your own terms and conditions, whatever you can think of We can have the same template code in different languages So, for instance if someone logged in in French the system will send a message in French Now we will look at slideshows Slideshows are another popular feature that can be attributed to a display They are made of a slide header and individual slides These can be images on your hard drive or embedded in the database We offer over 360 transitions for slideshows and a similar number for captions Let’s look at some aspects in the ‘Users’ section If we click on ‘Categorised’ as mentioned before we can see users that have been imported into the system We will discuss how to import users in another video We can also look at events on our system by clicking here We can examine any events that draw our attention and examine what has happened In this case, there was an issue with updating the license so that has been logged here Also, if there are any issues that come from clients they can be viewed from here The choice of logs is shown here Now we will look at some database management tasks Click on ‘DB Tasks’ to apply various rules here to compact the system and to apply restart in case you wish to start the day fresh If we go to ‘FT Indexes’ we can also full text index the database to provide speedy searching We can control networking here We can embed SSL capabilities into the system here This is not everything that can be configured here but this video has summarised the key aspects of the admin web UI Thank you for watching
