Installing the Door Tablet server In this video We will be showing you how to install the Door Tablet server for the first time To do so you need to have registered on the Door Tablet website but you do not need any licenses so this means you can try before you buy This server installation applies to all our supported platforms We will also show you how to login to the administrator’s web user interface or Web UI First you will need to go to the Door Tablet website click the symbol in the top right to log in Click on 'Downloads' We are going to download the full Door Tablet Server by clicking on 'Download' Then, accept the terms and conditions Click 'Download' and the download will begin Save the file somewhere that you can access it Here, we have saved it onto the desktop When it has finished downloading, we launch the installer Answer positively to the prompts and accept the terms Now we select the folder we want it installed in Here, we are installing it on the root folder and calling it 'Door Tablet Server' Continue responding positively to the installer Click on 'Install' it should take about 40-50 seconds and it’s done Here if you open the 'quick guide' it opens the getting started page and you can use this to guide you click 'Finish' Now we need to launch the Door Tablet server from the icon on the desktop At this point you might see a pop-up asking you to select whether you want to run it as a service or a console application, select console application • Here the installation is creating various files that are required for the software to run • The first time you run the server you are likely to encounter firewall warnings, don’t be alarmed, just respond in the positive • Once we see the HTTP server has started, we need to quit the server by typing the letter q and hitting return • Now when we launch it again the server should be ready to use and launches quickly • The server starts with http port 81 as a default, you can change that later if you wish At this point you might see a pop-up asking you to select whether you want to run it as a 'service' or a 'console application' select 'console application' Here the installation is creating various files that are required for the software to run The first time you run the server you are likely to encounter firewall warnings don’t be alarmed, just respond in the positive Once we see the HTTP server has started we need to quit the server by typing the letter 'q' and hitting return Now when we launch it again the server should be ready to use and launches quickly The server starts with http port 81 as a default you can change that later if you wish To log into the server and access the admin web UI we type ‘localhost:81’ into a web browser as the server is running on the machine we are currently on To log in we will use the standard User name and Password for the server The User name is 'dtwebadmin' and the Password is 'password' you can change that later Just to note, without any licenses at this point the Door tablet server will be in evaluation mode In this mode it is still fully operational but a pop-up will appear on the displays showing this is an evaluation mode If you would like to trial Door Tablet without the pop-ups you can contact us to get licenses for a trial month When you are ready to buy Door Tablet you will buy licenses for a year We will explore licensing further in another video In this admin web UI, click on 'System Profile' then go to the 'Security' tab to set up the Key code for the server The next thing you will want to do is connect the Door Tablet server to your scheduling system in another video we will show an example of how to do this Thank you for watching
